Premier League hoax? Leicester v Sunderland to start 2016-17 season
Sunderland, if the fixtures ‘release’ is to be believed will start the 2016-17 season at champions Leicester City.
The Premier League – and Football League – reacted quickly by sending out a Tweet to say it was a hoax, adding that fans will have to wait until June 15 to learn the real deal.

“What has been put into the public domain over this last weekend is a hoax.
“We would encourage all fans and media to wait for the official release on 15 June.”
If the hoax fixtures are to be believed, Sunderland would visit the champions on August 13, a match almost certainly switched for TV coverage.
