The Newcastle United defender suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Wales during the international break.

And Dummett, previously troubled by hamstring problems, will miss Monday night's game agaist Burnley at Turf Moor.

United manager Benitez said: "Paul is not available. He has been treated, and we will see how he gets on during the next week."

"He will miss this game with a hamstring injury from national team."

Meanwhile, Jamaal Lascelles, Yoshinori Muto and Jonjo Shelvey are yet to complete a full training session.

Benitez said: "(Jamie) Sterry and Lejeune not available, but Lejeune has been training with the team. We don’t want to take a risk yet.

"Shelvey, Muto and Lascelles have not competed a full training session yet. We will see how they are in next two sessions.

"One or two maybe available, even if not start. The only one who is not available, for sure, is Dummett."
