United are considering a move for winger Andros Townsend, who was sold to Crystal Palace last summer.

Asked about speculation over a return for Townsend, Benitez said: "We are still in the same situation, working with a few different names. Let’s see where we are in a few days."

The only player Benitez expects to lose this month is midfielder Cheick Tiote, who played in Wednesday night's FA Cup win over Birmingham City.

On Tiote's future, Benitez added: "In terms of the transfer window, players in or out, we are in the same situation.

"We are still working with a few different options."
