Rafa Benitez reacts to speculation linking Steven Gerrard with Rangers
Rafa Benitez says Steven Gerrard has the 'potential' to succeed as a club manager.
Gerrard – who played under Benitez at Liverpool, where he is now a youth-team coach – has been linked with the Rangers post.
Newcastle United manager Benitez said: “I think he has the potential to be a great manager. He was a fantastic player. As a manager, he has the potential. It’s just a question of how he deals with the pressure, the characters and all these things.”
