The Disney Magic berthed at Northumbria Quay at the Port of Tyne yesterday for the second time in less than a fortnight.

The huge ship, which carries 2,700 passengers, brought river-watchers out in their droves - many of them with cameras in hand.

Among them was Derek Hinds, a member of the Teesside branch of the World Ship Society and the editor of its quarterly journal/newsletter Tees Packet.

He points out that the 294m-long vessel arrived this time from Dover on a Norwegian Fjord and Iceland cruise, with Kirkwall her next port of call.
