Record crowds watch South Shields' victory in FA Vase semi-final

Record crowds flocked to Mariners Park today to witness the historic moment South Shields secured their place in the FA Vase final.

More than 3,000 supporters took to the Mariners' home ground to cheer their team on as they beat Coleshill Town 4-0 in the second leg of the Vase semi-final.

Fans are now looking forward to their crusade to Wembley, on Sunday, May 21, where Shields hope to beat Cleethorpes Town to bring the coveted trophy home to South Tyneside.
