Revealed: Seven South Tyneside schools told by Ofsted that they must do better

Four ratings can be given by the education watchdog - outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate.

One school in the borough was given the lowest score (inadequate) at its last inspection - with six more being graded as requiring improvement.

The inspections took place between March 2016 and February 2018, and the school’s latest inspection date is noted above.
