What do Newcastle fans think should be done with Jamaal Lascelles?

While there have already been plenty of outgoings this summer - with the likes of Chancel Mbemba and Matz Sels moving on to pastures new - several squad members still have unresolved futures ahead of deadline day.

For some, like Achraf Lazaar and Henri Saivet, moves may be secured to try and secure more regular first team opportunities.

Others, like Jamaal Lascelles, have been linked with switches to some of the Premier League's biggest clubs.

But who do Newcastle fans think should be sold and, more crucially, be kept at St James's Park?

Very few surprises here, with supporters suggesting that several of the club's fringe players should be allowed to leave.

79% of fans surveryed felt that Achraf Lazaar should be sold this summer, while a massive 89% were keen to see Henri Saivet move on.

Rolando Aarons - deemed surplus to requirements by Benitez - could also depart before the window shuts, and 60% of supporters felt that his exit should be encouraged.

Interestingly, 71% of supporters felt that Issac Hayden's transfer request should be honoured, despite Rafa Benitez's desire to keep the midfielder on Tyneside.

Having been heavily linked with a move in recent weeks, 68% of fans' votes indicated that Dwight Gayle should be sold.

Similarly, in one of the closest votes, 55% of those surveyed thought that Rob Elliot should depart amid intense competition in the goalkeeping department.

Newcastle fans overwhelmingly voted for most players to leave - which is perhaps indicative of some of the dead wood still in Benitez's squad.

But there were still some individuals that fans were keen to keep who will perhaps come as little surprise given their role in the squad.

In a landslide vote, 86% of fans wanted to keep skipper Lascelles at the club after the defender was heavily linked with an exit during the summer.

78% of supporters were keen to see Matt Ritchie remain in the North East, too - while another large percentage, 72%, thought that Karl Darlow should not be sold.
