Road closure in South Shields to last all day as works take place
Drivers are being warned of a road closure in South Shields today to allow for resurfacing work.
A southbound stretch of Western Approach will be closed from 8am to 6pm.
The road will be closed between Laygate and Reed Street today and tomorrow (Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10).
Meanwhile, roadworks at Crossgate remain in place and are scheduled to finish by Sunday March 31.
