They will join Coun Richard Porthouse, Mayor of South Tyneside, and Santa Claus at the junction of King Street and Ocean Road to help the town get ready for Christmas.

The mayor said: “This year we have a cracking line-up for the South Shields light switch-on, which is always one of the highlights of the festive season. I’m looking forward to having Bradley, Jo and Tina join me onstage to help with the countdown to the town centre’s illuminations.

“I’m sure the people of South Shields will give S Club Party a warm welcome.”

If you want to Reach for the Stars with S Club, head down to the event to hear some live versions of the group’s iconic hits. Local singer Abi Garrido, who appeared on The X-Factor, will also perform.
