A BUSINESSMAN who has worked tirelessly to grow his firm has become one of the early runners in a Gazette awards.
Craig Lumley, 30, from South Shields, is a co-founder of urban street brand company Rise High Apparel – and the first entrant in the Entrepreneur of the Year category of our Best of South Tyneside Awards.
The nomination for him reads: “The business is moving from strength to strength and I feel the success is down to Craig and the energy he has ploughed into it.
“He is massively hard-working, very well-liked and known by many.”
Craig said: “It’s a bit of a shock but it feels nice to be appreciated, and it is good that I am being recognised for what I am trying to do.”
Rise High Apparel focuses on the skate and surf elements of fashion, and Craig added: “We are slowly but surely starting to make a name for ourselves.”

He also hopes to support and work with charities.
