Shields Ferry passengers warned of halt to service to allow boat to be repaired
People planning to catch the Shields Ferry later today have been warned the service will be withdrawn for a period while the vessel is fixed.
The team say that due to a mechanical problem with the Spirit of the Tyne, the service will have a gap between 11.45am and 3.30pm.
A replacement bus service will run in its place, leaving North Shields and South Shields on the hour and half past the hour.
