Ask them what they think of something. For example, you could ask your wife or girlfriend something like this:"Oh, do you not think it looks tacky when other girls wear thoseJeffrey Campbell shoes?""No, I love them. Shut up about women's fashion - you're an idiot."But you won't be once Christmas morning comes.2) Find their wish list – paper or digitalChildren make their wish list weeks before Santa's visit and give them for you to hand over – but what about the adults?Well, someone's Amazon wish list or a search history could be the key you need. A moment where they leave their computer or phone unattended could prove essential into getting exactly what they want.Other than that, most people's Amazon wish lists are public to view anyway. Which means you can buy them on...3) Black FridayAmazon's Black Friday is on until November 25 with up to 50 per cent off across the entire range, alongside deals that come and go.But this year, check with high street retailers as they could be introducing even better offers to combat online opposition.Expect new 4k HD TVs to go on sale - if you dare brave the crowds.4) Cyber MondayAlthough Black Friday might not be as much of a bargain as thought, it would pay to see what other sales are on around the day.Cyber Monday initially consisted mainly of computer products, but now covers all ranges of products such as hi-fi, home & kitchen appliances, jewellery, clothing, toys, books. The sale could be a stress free Monday while you complete your shopping online on a warm sofa with your feet up.5) Shop elsewhere onlineOther, less known websites will try to compete this holiday season with more prominent online retailers by announcing flash sales or simply keeping their prices low.Asos.com are the go-to site for stand out dresses and up and coming menswear, and they're already in the middle of a 70 per cent off sale, running alongside their free delivery on all orders over £20.
