A South Shields actor took centre stage for a new advertising campaign.
Stephen Sullivan appears in the latest advert from British-flavoured water brand, Perfectly Clear.
The ad, dubbed No S**** Science, was filmed at the National Glass Centre, in Sunderland.
It was filmed earlier this year by TV and video production company Shine North.
It features a clumsy scientist preaching about water’s zero sugar selling point, while making life difficult for Stephen, who plays one of the centre’s visitors.
He is swilled with soup, slips on spilled liquids and has a glass smashed over his head, as the scientist throws, spills and breaks everything around him.
Alex Connock, managing director at Shine North, said: “We had a fantastic time deriving the Perfectly Clear scientist concept and turning that into the video, which has launched the campaign.
“The initial feedback has been great so far.”
The sugar-free flavoured spring water is made and distributed by Sunderland-based soft drinks manufacturer CBL Drinks Ltd. Mark Bell, operations director at CBL Drinks said: “We have invested heavily into the brand over the last 18 months with additions to the range, packaging reformats and investment into the production at the Sunderland factory with new machinery.
“It was great to film our advert at the local National Glass Centre.
“It was perfect for the advert background and props.”
Perfectly Clear is produced and bottled on-site at the CBL Drinks Ltd Sunderland factory, with water drawn from its own spring, The Hadrian Well.
