South Shields gets blanket of snow - and there's more expected to come

Drivers and passengers have faced a mixed commute this morning, with some early problems on the Metro and a number of incidents on the roads.

But the Met Office is expecting the weather to get worse, with amber warnings in place for today, Wednesday and Thursday.
