South Shields law firm part of new dementia care scheme
A South Shields law firm has joined forces with a dementia advice service to support families needing legal assistance.
PGS Law has launched Elderly Care alongside Dementia Assist to provide an integrated service to manage and co-ordinate long term care requirements of those diagnosed with the condition.
The venture aims to ensure clients or their loved ones have the financial means to get the best possible long term care and legal services including ensuring clients or suitable family members have the appropriate legal powers to act, as well as putting in place a Lasting Power of Attorney, a living will or undertaking assessments for mental and physical capacity.
Bill Dryden, Partner at PGS Law, said: “Our new partnership with Dementia Assist gives our clients access to a robust network of specialist care advocates, highly qualified solicitors and independent financial advisors who know the care industry inside out.
“We understand the importance of finding the best long term care for yourself or a loved one and the partnership allows us to ensure clients are getting the best deal on care costs, securing appropriate funding where eligible, and ensuring that their care service provision is tailored to their specific circumstances.
“Through providing one-to-one, dedicated support to co-ordinate all aspects of elderly care, we aim to help people secure better long term care arrangements to ease the worries of later life.”
Dementia Assist offers dementia patients and their families a range of advisory services regarding dementia care support and a network of expert advocates, highly qualified solicitors and independent financial advisors.

Our aim is to give dementia patients and their families a clear understanding of the options available to them with regards to care services and funding.
