Coun Alan Kerr, deputy leader of South Tyneside Council, said: “The Christmas Fair is a wonderful opportunity to discover a range of handcrafted and unique gifts for family and friends. Following on from the success of last year’s event, we are looking forward to once again welcoming visitors from across the North East keen to buy the work of some of the region’s talented artists, sellers and producers who will be showcasing their wide range of festive wares.

“With a huge range of businesses offering an excellent choice of Christmas gifts and personal treats, there will be something for everyone this weekend.”

The fair has been organised by South Tyneside Council in partnership with Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle (STAN).

The event will run from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
