Sarah Briggs, who launched Hooray Soft Play in 2014, has now teamed up with Sarah Murray, who opened The Little Play Cafe earlier this year.

The joint venture was formed after the two mums’ businesses were both recommended to parents on a social media site.

Mrs Briggs said: “We both have the same target market, so it made sense for us to work together.

“We are always busy and the cafe is always busy, so it’s nice to be able to have a trusted person/business within our target market to send people to - it’s nice to keep the business within South Tyneside.

“We both have a lot of things in common; we are both mums running our own businesses, and it can be a lonely place to be at times, so this way we can share our skills and experiences with each other – as every day is a school day, especially in business.”

The two mums will be launching a joint marketing venture to promote their businesses and joint working.

Mrs Murray said: “Everything is going really well and we have had the best two weeks.

“Since we have been working together we have had other businesses coming on board. We are starting quite a nice little network around our target audience.”
