Thrill seekers are being given the chance to enjoy all the fun of the fair - while helping to raise cash for good causes in South Tyneside.

Ocean Beach Pleasure Park has a number of specially priced tickets on offer which gives visitors £30 worth of rides and attractions for £5.

The tickets are only valid on Saturday, between noon and 3pm.

Cash raised through the sales will be donated to the Mayor’s charity.

This year the annual fundraiser is supporting the Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust and St Clare’s Hospice.

The Chloe and Liam Trust supports young talented sportspeople and performers through the use of bursaries, while St Clare’s Hospice provides support to people with life-limiting illnesses.

There are two types of tickets available for people under or over 1.2m in height.

The Mayor of South Tyneside, Coun Ken Stephenson said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy all of the fun of the fair while helping to raising funds for worthy causes in South Tyneside.

“The Mayoress and I are also incredibly grateful to Ocean Beach Pleasure Park for their generosity. It is a fantastic offer and we hope to see as many people as possible take advantage and have a great family day out.”

Matt Young, Marketing Manager at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Mayor’s Charity while offering people a chance to come along, have fun and enjoy a great deal on our rides and attractions. When we have hosted this in previous years it has always proven to be a real success.”
