Young dancers from across the borough will be taking to the stage tonight to show off their talents.
The Customs House in South Shields hosts its annual Step Up and Dance event this evening, featuring groups from all over the borough and North Tyneside.
Schools and independent dance companies will be among those represented at the event.
It will also include performances by a Customs House group set up specially for the occasion, due to start at 7pm.
The Mill Dam venue’s cultural development officer, Daniel Clifford, said: “This is a great opportunity to see new dance work, featuring talented young people, from those aged 10 to those in their late 20s, and from first-time dancers to those who have been doing it for years.
“Every year is fun and exciting, for the audience as well as the performers on stage, and every year we are thrilled with the fantastic talent who choose to take part in our event.”
