Subway has confirmed it is coming to Hebburn.
Work is currently underway to transform the former Booze Busters site in the town’s St James’ Mall.
The opening will create up to 10 jobs.
A spokesman for the chain said: “We can confirm that a new Subway store is due to open in St James’ Mall, Hebburn creating up to 10 new jobs.

Subway already has three stores in South Shields.
