A South Tyneside mum is aiming to be a cut above the rest after opening a new barber shop in the town.
Zoe Traill, 28, has just opened the doors to her new business ‘House of Barbers’ in Seton Walk, Simonside, South Shields.
The new venture has been life-long dream for Zoe - who is mum to Annabell Owens, three - having worked in the industry for around 13 years.
Miss Traill, from Rosebury Avenue, in Westoe, South Shields, said: “This is my first barber shop after previously working in other shops in the area for seven years.
“I have been working as a barber since the age of 15 and opening my own shop was something that I have always wanted to do. “So this is a dream come true for me.”
The new shop, which has had a rustic look, has taken four weeks to refurbish, but was open to customers in time for Easter.
Miss Traill added: “I am introducing a loyalty card for customers, so regulars who have six hair cuts can get their seventh for free.
“I will also be able to offer the new hair trend called skin fades which is a really close cut and I am looking to do a cut throat shave course in the short term for clients with beards.”
