LIFTING a title could be a fantastic boost for the amazing talent of teenager Aimee Lambert.
That’s the view of her mum Jackie Lambert after entering Aimee, 16, for this year’s Best of South Tyneside awards Young Performer of the Year category, sponsored by Port of Tyne.
Winning an award like this will give her the proof that she is amazing and make her believe in herself.Jackie Lambert
Jackie said: “Aimee is a talented singer-songwriter who plays guitar, drums and piano.
“She has been singing and writing songs for a couple of years, but lacks any awareness of how talented she is.
“Although she plays gigs and gets lots of fantastic feedback, she lacks confidence.”
Jackie added: “Winning an award like this will give her the proof that she is amazing and make her believe in herself.”
A second nomination for East Boldon teenager Aimee praised her for writing poignant lyrics which “display a maturity beyond her years”.
An award would “give her the confidence to continue with her music and fulfil her dream of working in the music business”.
Multi-talented Aimee will be one of a number of outstanding talents in the Young Performer finals.
We will be featuring more of them in the coming days.
Readers can book tickets to see them all in action.
Our finalists in the Port of Tyne-sponsored competition will get to perform at the Customs House in South Shields on Monday, April 27, from 7pm.
