Thief jailed after Morrisons theft, and five other criminals dealt with in South Tyneside

Angus Gardiner, 46, of Roman Road, South Shields, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £400 after admitting driving while disqualified in South Shields on October 16.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £40 victim surcharge.

Khalid Uddin, 21, of Wallington Grove, South Shields, was ordered to complete an extra seven hours of unpaid work to an existing community order after breaching the terms of the order by failing to attend rehabilitation activity appointments on December 29 of last year and on January 26.

Georgia Rogers, 23, of Austen Avenue, South Shields, was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay compensation of £100 after admitting causing criminal damage to a Renault vehicle in South Tyneside on November 29.

Ashley Carr, 29, of Moorfoot Gardens, Gateshead, was jailed for 24 weeks after admitting stealing £39.69 from Morrisons in Jarrow on Tuesday, January 19 – breaching a suspended prison sentence.

He must also pay an £80 victim surcharge.

Natalie French, 23, of Dene Terrace, Jarrow, was banned from driving for 15 months and given a 12-month community order after admitting driving while disqualified in York Avenue, Jarrow on Tuesday, January 12.

She must also pay £85 prosecution costs and a £60 victim surcharge. She was also ordered to pay a total of £175 compensation.

Emma Hudson, 35, of St Vincent Street, South Shields, was fined £120 after admitting for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause alarm, harassment or distress to another person in South Shields on Thursday, December 17.

She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £20 victim surcharge.
