Three men try to break into house in Gateshead

The incident happened at 2.20pm yesterday on Friday in Hutton Terrace, near Team Valley Trading Estate.

Three men attempted to force entry to a house in the street and there was a brief struggle between them and the occupant before they fled.

It's believed they made off in a dark coloured vehicle.

The occupant of the house was not injured.

One of the offenders is described as having a distinctive scar on his face.

Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for witnesses.
