Tools stolen from van in South Shields

Tools were stolen from a van after it was taken from a South Shields street.

The white transit van, with 'DK Locks' in large black lettering on the side, was taken from West Avenue some time between 10.30pm and 4.45am on Monday night and found abandoned in Cleadon Hills at 9.30am on Tuesday.

Contents inside the van were stolen including; key cutting equipment, drill, grinder, circular saw and other hand tools and shelving.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the van being taken, or abandoned later on, or may be offered these items for sale.
