The presence of the comedian, who has been described by The Stage and Television Today as one of the top 10 comedians in Britain, has been a “massive coup” for the show, according to its producer Gareth Hunter.
He said: “This is a massive coup for the Laffalang and Andy continues the high standard of comedian the show attracts.”
Andy first came into the spotlight in 1997 with an appearance on Jonathan Ross’ ITV Big Talent Show. It led to an invititation to appear on the Royal Variety Performance Show that same year.
He has starred in award-winning children’s show Havakazoo, and is regarded as one of the top pantomime comics in Britain.
Earlier this year Andy appeared in Waiting For Gateaux in Liverpool, a comedy play Laffalang writer Ed Waugh co-wrote with Trevor Wood.
Andy, who recently moved to County Durham, said: “I’ve seen two Laffalangs and Ed’s play Hadaway Harry and thought they were all brilliant.
“When Ed asked me to compere the Halloween Laffalang I was delighted and cleared the decks.
“I can’t wait. The audience the Laffalang attracts is fantastic and really up for a laugh.”
