Metro passengers face delays of up to 25 minutes between a number of stations
Passengers on the Metro service are experiencing delays of up to 25 minutes across numerous stations.
On Wednesday, November 20 at around 9.40am, Tyne and Wear Metro service reported delays of up to 25 minutes between Regent Centre and South Hylton and between the Airport and South Gosforth.
A spokesperson for the service confirmed this was “due to low rail adhesion and a passenger needing assistance.”
They added: “We are working to return trains to timetable. We apologise for the delays.”
