Woman taken to hospital after two-vehicle crash blocks road
A two-vehicle collision during the morning rush hour on Wednesday, January 29 caused congestion in Boldon Colliery.
Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service attended Abingdon Way between 8.10am and 8.20am on Wednesday following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
A force spokeswoman said the road was blocked and motorists experienced congestion while the vehicles were removed.
An ambulance service spokeswoman confirmed that a female patient was taken to South Tyneside District Hospital and that a double-crewed ambulance was sent to the scene.
