Watch as black smoke fills the air from a Port of Tyne blaze

Photos and videos sent into the Shields Gazette by Dan Lake show plumes of black smoke rising from a blaze at the Port of Tyne.
The footage was captured on Wednesday afternoon (June 26) as flames engulfed what looks to be a warehouse building at the Port.

Hide AdFire crews from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service (TWFRS) are currently at the scene tackling the blaze.
A TWFRS spokesperson said: “We can confirm that today (Wednesday 26th June), we received an emergency call at 14:13pm reporting an ongoing incident at Tyne Dock, South Tyneside.
"Our first crew was on scene within two minutes of receiving the call, with six fire appliances and two aerial ladder platforms currently in attendance at the commercial premises."
The Fire Service has also advised members of the public in the local area to keep their windows and doors closed.
