A peckish seagull helped itself as it wandered into South Shields' Greggs store this lunchtime.

We have all heard stories of hungry birds snatching food from people in the street - but this one took it one step further.

Gordon Lindsay, who was visiting the King Street outlet, captured this video as the seagull walked in, grabbed a packet of crisps and promptly made its way back outside again.
