Around 5,000 people took part in the Alzheimer's Society's Memory Walk in town on Saturday and helped raise around £360,000 towards dementia research and treatment.
The coastal walk, covering distances of 1.5k and 7k, began from Bents Park and was officially started by former Emmerdale television actor John Middleton.
It is one of 35 walks the society holds around the country.
