As the town and wider borough saw temperatures sit around the 14°C mark for most of the bank holiday weekend, things are looking a bit warmer for the week ahead as the majority of children head back into the classroom for the first time since March.
Highs of 20°C are forecast and the weather is set to be mainly sunny with some cloudy spells and a slight chance of rain during the middle of the week.

The week is due to start off sunny on Tuesday, with some cloud cover heading in towards the afternoon.
Temperatures are predicted to be around 19°C and it will feel warmer than the bank holiday weekend.
Patches of dark clouds are expected as we head into the evening.

Thursday is set to be the warmest day of the week, with temperatures hitting highs of 20°C.

It is looking slightly cooler as we head towards the end of the week and into the weekend, with the Met Office predicting sunshine and some cloudy patches.
Highs of 19°C are expected.
Saturday, September 5
The start of the weekend sees the biggest temperature drop of the week, with highs of 16°C predicted by forecasters.
Saturday is set to be mostly cloudy with some sunny spells.
Sunday, September 6
Much like Saturday, Met Officer forecasters are predicting highs of 16°C.
