South Shields weather forecast: What you can expect this weekend as lockdown measures are eased

As we head into the first weekend of relaxed lockdown measures, will you be able to sunbathe in a park?

Following a week of mild temperatures with some bright sunny spells, it is looking more of the same going into the weekend.

What will the weather be like on Friday, May 15?

More of the same on Friday as we look set to have another dry day.

This is what they weather will be like in South Tyneside this weekend.

The Met Office is forecasting some sunny spells initially however by 12pm, there will be a large cloud covering.

Temperatures are expected to be around 10°C in the morning but will pick up nicely in the afternoon.

At its peak, temperatures are predicted to reach 15°C with a slight breeze.

What will the weather be like on Saturday, May 16?

Much like Friday, the weather is anticipated to be breezy but dry and sunny.

Saturday will start off with cool temperatures at around 9°C.

By mid-afternoon, South Tyneside is predicted to see highs of 14°C however the weather will be overcast.

What will the weather be like on Sunday, May 17?

Temperature wise, Sunday is the day to be outdoors – with highs of 16°C throughout the afternoon.

However, Sunday is also expected to be cloudier than both Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures in the morning are predicted to be around 12°C before rising around midday.

Despite the cloud covering, there is no rain forecast.
