When will it stop raining? You won't like the answer

It's another wet weekend in the North East, with sunny summer weather still nowhere to be seen.

And sadly it doesn't like it will get better any time soon. Scattered showers are expected through the rest of today, with the risk of lightning in some parts of the North East.

There should be some sunshine in between the showers, but staying fairly cool with fresh or strong westerly winds. The maximum temperature is expected to be 16 °C.

More cloud and rain are are expected on Monday, but there are some bright spells - and more showers - expected on Tuesday.

Wednesday is expected to turn cloudier again, with the odd shower possible.
