Well, it's fair to say that winter is rapidly approaching, and it would be wise to wrap up warm if you're going out and about.

It will remain rather cloudy through this evening and overnight, with further showers spreading in, and they'll be wintry on the hills.

Winds will tend to ease overnight, but the minimum temperature will plummet to 1C.

Tomorrow, a few bright or sunny intervals are possible, but also further showers, again with a wintry mix on the hills.

It will be another cold day, but with lighter winds than of late, and the maximum temperature will be 6C.

The outlook for further into the week is for coastal showers on Tuesday after a frosty start, with rain and some hill snow likely in the evening.

This should clear to scattered showers on Wednesday, and they are expected to continue into Thursday.
