The national charity encourages families with toddlers and those working with pre-school tots to host a sponsored walk as part of its annual Big Toddle fundraiser.
Some 30 youngsters aged between two and four, led by nursery manager Joanne Philpot and her staff took part in the event.
Each child who took part was given a medal in recognition of their efforts.
Mrs Philpot said: “The Big Toddle is something which we take part in every year.
“The children really enjoy taking part, and it’s a great way for the parents to get involved alongside their children.
“We have had so much support from families, and we had one of our parents dress up as a pirate.”
The children set off from the nursery to walk along part of King George Road and back again.
The Big Toddle by Barnardo’s is for those aged under five and their families. The event helps to raise money for the most vulnerable children in the UK.
The Bungalow Nursery currently has around 40 youngsters aged between two and four years old.
