A distinct lack of healthy chuckles

I WATCHED Nurse, the new Paul Whitehouse BBC comedy on Tuesday , which follows a kind-hearted community mental health nurse doing her rounds providing medicine and friendship, plus advice to anyone who would listen.

Whitehouse played the part of a patient one minute, then either a friend or relative the next, but while the whole sorry affair may have been seen by some to be poignant, funny it was not. I found it about as funny as phlegm!

Anyway, still can’t understand why the gentle sitcom Hebburn was ever axed!
