A good time to go veggie

MARCH is National Veggie Month – the perfect time to try going veggie!

With supermarkets and high street shops stocking a wide range of meat-free foods, and with a wealth of delicious recipes available, it really couldn’t be easier.

 It’s also the healthy choice.

A well-balanced, meat-free diet is low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and reduces the risk of suffering from diet-related illnesses including obesity, heart disease, diabetes and some cancers.

The benefits extend beyond our own health. Eating meat-free is better for the planet (plant-based agriculture uses less water and land, and generates fewer climate-changing gases) and it is obviously better for the animals, too.

If you love animals, care for the planet, want to improve your health, or just fancy trying new flavours, why not give it a go?
