A lesson in spending

On one hand our Labour Council brings in a green bin charge to save money, while on the other squanders it on the likes of a double-fronted notice board at Mowbray park.

Better use of the money would have been to install a gate at its main entrance near to the kiddies playground, as it’s only a matter of time before a child or dog runs out onto the main road with dire consequences.

I’ve been led to believe councillors are going to have a meeting as to what to put in this notice board. I’ve suggested a ‘Keep Britain Tidy’ notice, and one about the circus when it came to town, but it didn’t. As for the green bin charge we’ll just have to like it and lump it.
