A plague of dandelions

I have a ‘thing’ about dandelions. I feel we are going to be over-run with them, if we are not already!

They line the coast road, roundabouts, peoples’ gardens – if anybody has a decent lawn, it won’t be for long.

I know there a lot of folk who couldn’t care a jot for gardening, but dandelions are a real menace.

When they start to seed or flock, the winds carry them for miles, and, once growing, the roots are not easy to get out.

I’m writing to try to get people aware of them.

Even if they are not dug out, people could pull the flowers off before they seed - even get the kids to do it.

I feel I am fighting a losing battle, but one can only try.
