ADULT social services, were slated at a council meeting late last year by well-respected, hard-working senior councillor, Ernie Gibson.
The Labour Party’s solution to that thorny problem was easy: Threaten Ernie Gibson with suspension from the party.
Since then there has not been a critical word about adult social services since the initial furore on the front page of the Gazette months ago. So all seems well!
Long live the Democratic Socialist Republic of South Tyneside.
