Over the last eight blue bin collections on the Scotch Estate, the binmen have, on every occasion and with each bin in the street, tipped the contents of the paper caddy into the bin itself, thus mixing the paper that everyone is told to keep separate with the tins, glass and cardboard.
If we did that they would put a sticker on the bin warning us not too.
The council website clearly gives the reason why paper is kept separate. Why do we have to use the caddy when council employee’s tip the paper back into the blue bin before emptying? Do we no longer need to use the caddy? After eight collections doing this it can’t be a one off or an error.
Why should I waste my time separating the paper as clearly there is no need to?
