IN a recent Wraithscape column, Mike Hallowell wrote an excellent article pertaining to cloning, as to whether or not it was morally acceptable to clone DNA from the remains of extinct animals in an effort to reintroduce them to our world (as he so succinctly put it).

He said he was looking forward (dare one say in eager anticipation) to readers’ comments.

Well Mike, here’s mine. One thinks that any living thing that has departed this God-forsaken planet of pain, either by human intervention or due to natural changes in the environment (sorry your words again) is better off out of it.

Well, you asked!
