It’s A Wonderful Life, so I’m told!

It's A Wonderful Life
It's A Wonderful Life

SO it’s been reported the 1946 weepy It’s a Wonderful Life starring James Stewart has been voted the top Christmas movie by filmgoers, beating Home Alone (1990), The Snowman (1982), Miracle on 34th Street (1994) with Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (1954) in fifth place (a copy of which one bought recently in a charity shop on King Street for the bargain price of a mere £1).

However, I can’t believe the 1951 Crimbo classic Scrooge, starring Alastair Sim as the tight-fisted Ebenezer Scrooge, based on the ghost story by Charles Dickens, didn’t make the top ten.

I must get round to watching It’s a Wonderful Life sometime as the family reckon I must be the only person in the country not to have seen it.
