It was a hard one to crack

Wonder if any other Gazette reader cracked Saturday’s arduous code word puzzle?

It took me a good two hours on Sunday morning to solve, which included the words ‘Gulag’ (the Department of the Soviet Security Service which runs prisons and labour camps), ‘Jabberer’ that one can only assume means someone who pokes sharply or speaks very quickly and ‘Waveforms’ (the shape or configuration of sea-waves perhaps?)
