Letter of the week: Austerity hindering people's mental health

Our writer fears austerity is adding to people's mental health problems.
Our writer fears austerity is adding to people's mental health problems.

It was sad to once again read that someone has lost their life after a cliff fall.

There is no simple solution to this problem and I certainly don’t know what it is.

However, I do think more resources need to be directed into mental health care to help those who feel so desperate.

I am sure too these times of austerity will also be playing their part in the fact that more people decide to take their own life.
