So South Tyneside Council can afford to splash out on a firework extravaganza at the seafront on November 5?

This is when, according to the Gazette (October 20), the said council is trying to claw back £2million owed by 7,000 of its 18,000 tenanted households in rent arrears due to a cost of living crisis, while fearing it could escalate another £1million.

However, on a positive note, nice to see Marsden Grotto is set for a tide of change (your pun) after planners overcame environmental issues to give the go-ahead for its operation as an hotel.
