Whatever is happening to the streets, back lanes and entrance to Westoe Village regarding overgrown weeds and overhanging trees?
I am aware of the hedgerows in Cleadon and Boldon have been cut back, however, the outskirts of the town centre is a disgrace.
At one time we had gardners who worked for the council doing a fantastic job planting flowers etc.
The entrance to Westoe Village is overgrown and an eyesore, not a flower in sight,
This historic village deserves better, we all know about the council’s cutbacks, but surely more pride in our town should be taken to make it appealing to visitors and residents alike.
These are cutbacks with total disrespect for the town's image.
