I read the article recently about what inmates in our prisons will be tucking into on Christmas Day.

Among the offerings are roast turkey and stuffing, roast parsnips, carrots, sprouts, roast and mashed potatoes with gravy.

Unfortunately, most people are probably going to point out that millions of law-abiding Britons would be lucky to see a spread like that.

I don’t know what my own feeling is.

Maybe the combined prison service would like to put on a meal for the homeless in the new year to balance things out a bit.
